Results day

Today is the day we have been waiting for months for as it was the day of the GCSE results.
Bill didn't seem stressed or anxious but she did seem negative like "What's the point in being nervous when I know I have failed anyway"

I was always positive though and had great faith in her.
When I got up at 9.30 Bill was already up and on her way out to go up to school to fetch her results and then I was the one left sat here biting my nails waiting for her to come back.

See I needn't have worried. She got Cs in most subjects and a B in Media Studies. Only her IT results are yet to be revealed which she will hopefully find out tomorrow. She has her enrollment in college tomorrow and she will be able to go along safe in the knowledge that her place will be confirmed by her excellent grades.

Today was also the day when DS and I went to town to get his school uniform ready for the new term.
My Nan had bought him some jumpers but unfortunately they were way too small so I was going to try and take them back to our BHS to get them exchanged. Even without the receipt they didn't bat an eyelid and gave me a credit note for £18 which went towards some trousers and a replacement jumper. We then went on to the market to get him a decent pair of shoes for £9.99 and also a new school bag for just the princely sum of £4.99.
All his new stationary and other gubbins came from the 99p store and we were done.
A successful day all round.
