What a waste of a Saturday night

This week was Eurovision and as usual what a total waste of time and money. BBC clears their boards completely to have every channel concentrated on this silly farce - I won't call it a competition as it isn't anymore!

No Casualty and No Doctor Who just so that we can go through the motions of pretending we think that UK can win when we know that no one in their right minds is ever going to vote for us, Well except for Ireland of course and Salutations to Malta for giving the UK their first 12 points since we won it 10 years ago.

The only good thing about the whole debarcle is Terry Wogan and his glib comments and ironic commentary. Now we have to wait another 7 days for the next episode of Doctor Who.
At least Scooch went into the chart at number 5 so the British people obviously like the song more than all those Eastern Europeans.
