What an awesome night to remember.
Tonight was the 1st leg of the Carling cup semi finals. Derby County V Manchester United at Pride Park. I had been anxious all day and didn't know if I could really face watching it on Sky but I am paying for the Damn thing so thought I may as well (I much prefer the local radio commentary by Ross Fletcher and former Ram Gary Rowett)

Well What a fantastic performance. It isn't usual to say this about Derby but they were AWESOME!! They played their butts off and even though ManU did get a few chances in, they blew it every time. When Kris Commons scored it was like Christmas all over again. It was a sweet little goal too and the whole place erupted. It quietened down the ManU fans too.



Of course in the second half Fergie brought on the big guns of Rooney and Ronaldo but it wasn't to be. Ronaldo had a couple free kicks that you would have thought were his bread and butter but he just bodged them and after 5 minutes of added on time, Glorious Derby were declared the winners.

Alright so we now have to go back to Old Trafford and play another (2 hours) but this victory can never be taken away from us. Oh and by then we will have Nigel Clough at the helm so a whole new Derby to contend with for the mighty Red shite ;)
