BBQ Weekend

On Sunday We were invited over to Zoe's for a Football Barbeque. England were kicking off in their friendly against  Japan at 1.15pm so it was an early start (For a Sunday)

We were first to arrive after Carl picked us up and when we arrived we sat in the front room where Beth was watching Jonas Brothers on the Disney Channel.

We sat there about 20 minutes before Beth gave us the remote and said she wasn't actually watching it LOL

Soon everyone was arriving...Ange and Zoe had a plan to get us all there without having to worry about cars and taxis. With military precision everyone was picked up and brought to the house.

I am not really going to talk about the football - It was dire. The team played crap and only won because of Japan scoring 2 own goals for us. As soon as it was over it was out to the garden to get the barbeques going and get the food cooked.

zoe had bought all the cobs salads and extra bits and we all supplied our own meat (or non-meat) products. Although Debz also brought a load of Sausages and some Chicken Tikka skewers.

The afternoon and evening went with a swing. I don't usually drink more than a couple of cans but I noticed when I opened up my 4th. I think it was all the food I was eating soaking it up.

It was so quiet as well. Joe and Andrew were at camp, Tasha was at a friend's house and Abbie was at a birthday party leaving Beth alone to go out and play with her friends.

We had a few giggles and the chance to catch up on what was going on in all our lives. Later when Abbie got back she and Bret and Beth and Sienna were bouncing about on the trampoline and even Beth's friend joined in.

As it got colder, everyone moved inside and Bill joined the men in a game of Golf on the PS3.

There was still loads of food left though and it was left on the table which was obviously way too temprting for George as he tried tireslessly to get on the table to the sausages. He never did make it though I am pleased to say.

Oh and mustn't forget that we are doing our own World cup Sweepstake this year Singstar got started up about 10pm and Bret had a couple of goes with Debz but then I could feel my eyes going so I rang a taxi and it arrived within 10 minutes.

All in all a great day out with great company can't wait to do it all again!!!
