Well not quite as I have to get the cooker connected for that but the council came out and switched on my gas today and serviced the boiler so I now have hot water and heating should I want it. To be honest I can't imagine wanting the heating on for ages as I am having to have all the windows open at the moment to bring in some cool air.
I think being upstairs is going to benefit us in the long run.

gosh, jen, reading through your last few posts - you have had quite a time of it. Glad to hear that puss cat is safe and that you are now able to cook a meal - hope you settle in soon and that you can sort out the removal firm and get some compensation:)
